Users’ Group missions

• “relaying the network responsibilities to competent national institutions who must then correctly interpret the  the objectives, means for implementing and feedback regarding the introduction of ECVET, in complicane with the recommendation terms,promoting ECVET and taking concrete initiatives aiming to foster future ECVET developments in a national context,
• keeping as many actors as possible informed regarding the ECVET network activity,
• guaranteeing active support to the ECVET users’ group as well as implementing the network work program,
• promoting and participating in all activities organised by the Commission for guaranteed network guidance.”

All promotion and information activities aimed at implementing the ECVET Reccomandation are integrated in the working program of the ECVET users ‘group.

The users ‘group meets twice per year in Brussels. The constituent meeting took place on 27 and 28 May. The second meet will be held on 1 and 2 December.

These meetings are prepared by a Steering Committee whose some members are appointed (4) and some assigned: members of the Presidency troika, representatives from European Commission, Cedefop, employer organisations and social partners.

Moreover, since this meeting and bi-annual, the ECVET users’ group can meet in thematic working groups. The first focus on updating the user guide from the first version “Get to know ECVET better – Questions and Answers”.

After the first workshop in 2010, users’ group members will exchange through a discussion forum.
